Step 1: Cut The Veggies And Shrimp And Shred The Cheese
Cut onions, tomatoes, peppers, and shrimp into small pieces. This way, they will blend once you start cooking. Also, shred the cheese and set it aside.
Step 2: Sauté The Ingredients
Add olive oil and half of the butter to your pan. Then, start sauteing onions and green peppers. After 5 minutes, add shrimp, tomatoes, and spices. Stir the mixture until no water’s left in the pan.
Step 3: Assemble The Tacos
Place the shrimp mixture on half of a tortilla. And place the shredded cheese on top of the mixture.
Step 4: Cook These Tacos
Preheat your cooking pan and add a little butter. Place a tortilla with the filling facing up. After a minute, when it turns soft, fold it in half. Repeat until you’ve finished cooking every taco.

Crispy Gobernador Tacos Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 tortillas
- 300 grams fresh shrimps
- 2 onions
- 4 green peppers
- 1 tomato
- 150 grams cheese
- 50 grams butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sriracha
Instructions
- Start with dicing the veggies (green peppers, onions, and tomatoes) and shrimp. Shred the cheese and set it aside.
- Preheat the cooking pan and add half of the butter and olive oil. Once the butter melts, sauté onion and green pepper for 5-10 minutes. Stir them occasionally.
- After 10 minutes, add diced tomatoes and shrimp. Then, season with oregano and salt. Stir-fry these ingredients until there is no water left in the pan.
- Place all tortillas on the table and add 2-3 tablespoons of the shrimp mixture on one half of the tortilla. Next, sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the mixture.
- Preheat your pan and add the remaining butter. Place one tortilla in and lower the temperature by half. After cooking for 1 minute, fold the tortilla in half. Cook for 10 – 15 seconds more and take it out. Repeat the process with other tortillas.
- Serve the Gobernador tacos with some sriracha sauce and tomato slices. Enjoy!
