Great wine is made everywhere, not just in our own backyard. At Fifteen – like great food – we’re obsessed with great wine. In both cases seeking out the very best producers determines what does, and what doesn’t end up in our restaurant.

With over 400 wines from around the globe on our list, the focus is very much on accessibility, affordability, minus the intimidation factor. There is something here for everyone.

Headed up by Wine Manager Richard Healy our approach to wine service at Fifteen Melbourne is simple. No matter how much or how little you know about wine, and irrespective of what you end up spending, we want to create an environment where both customers and staff alike feel comfortable and confident with wine.

Finally, we feel that our responsibility as a wine team goes way beyond just helping our customers to pick the right wine to have with their meal. Five years on, we’re happy and proud to report that Fifteen’s global wine program now offers around 120 staff members some wine education each year. On top of that we also conduct regular tours of local wine and food destinations in a bid to highlight ‘regionalism’ for trainees and staff alike and this year – for the second year running, Fifteen Melbourne will also be unique amongst the group, as the students will, with the help of Yering Station, make their own wine. All proceeds from the sale of the student wine – which is only sold through the restaurant – will go back into the foundation.
