Penny Newman to head Fifteen Foundation

We are pleased to announce that Penny Newman, former CEO of Cafédirect, has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Fifteen Foundation, the charity set up by Jamie Oliver in 2002 to help disadvantaged young people begin careers in the catering industry. We officially welcomed Penny on September 1st.

“After ten great years at Cafédirect I am absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to use my skills in another fantastic social enterprise; to help develop it further and to lead it to new commercial and social dimensions.”

Prior to Cafédirect, Penny was employed at The Body Shop where she was responsible for the global marketing strategy.  She was awarded an OBE in the 2008 New Year Honours for services to ethical business and is also a Social Enterprise Ambassador and has recently been appointed a member of the advisory board for the Office of the Third Sector.
