Liam Black to leave Fifteen

After three and half years as Director, Liam Black is moving on from Fifteen. Under his leadership Fifteen has become a global and highly successful social enterprise brand. Jamie Oliver, who founded Fifteen in 2002 and is a trustee of Fifteen Foundation, said : "Liam has done a great job. We now have a strong organisation offering our customers brilliant food and service at the same time as providing young people with an amazing chance to change their lives. Everyone at Fifteen wishes him nothing but the best. We'll miss him."

Since 2004, Liam has overseen the openings of Fifteen businesses in Holland, Cornwall and Australia. In 2007, Fifteen London had its most successful year in terms of customer numbers, sales and profitability.

On January 16th, Fifteen will publish its first independently verified social report reviewing the impacts it has had in the lives of the young people who have joined its pioneering chef apprenticeship. Based upon the findings of the report, Liam has initiated a comprehensive restructure of the apprenticeship to ensure more young people can be recruited and trained.

Said Liam : "I have loved my time at Fifteen. Jamie asked me to create a strong well managed and well governed organisation. Mission accomplished. It's time for the next chapter in Fifteen's amazing story and I wish Jamie and all the brilliant Fifteen team continued huge success."

Over the coming months, Liam will continue to advise the Fifteen board on a number of key projects.
