Support Fifteen

“It’s the excitement of preparing the food. The physical thing. Chucking ingredients together, you know ..? Watching it come out and putting it on a plate: it’s so simple and so beautiful, the colours, it’s like art on a plate. Something clicks when I get in the kitchen. I just get on with it. It’s like everything that’s gone on outside disappears, and I just concentrate. I’m on a different zone when I’m on pasta. Yeah, that’s it, a different zone.”

Business sponsorship

"It costs us about £30,000 to put one youngster through Fifteen. That's a lot of money. But we spend it well and our graduates show what can be achieved. And anyway it's a lot cheaper than keeping them in prison*!."

Jamie Oliver
Fifteen's founder

The Apprentice Sponsorship Scheme is designed to allow business and individuals to support one youngster throughout his or her 12 month training.  The apprenticeship is often a tough road of hard work and dedication; a learning curve of the skills required not only in the kitchen but also in life – something many of our apprentices have previously been denied.

An individual sponsorship costs £30,000 for the year, during which the sponsor will receive updates on the Fifteen apprentice on their latest experiences.

As a sponsor, you will witness the apprentices grow as chefs and as people, becoming confident professionals who take pride in their achievements, often for the first time in their lives.  You will have the opportunity to go an exclusive behind-the scenes tour of the unique Fifteen training kitchen as well as attending the graduation ceremony of our apprentices.

To become a Sponsor please contact the Jamie Oliver Foundation directly to express your interest: phone +44 (0) 207 017 0702.

*according to the Home Office, it costs £32,000 to keep a young person in secure accommodation or a Young Offenders Institution for the same amount of time that  a young person spends training with us at Fifteen.
