Steve Pooley – Head Chef, Fifteen Events

Steve has 18 years cooking experience under his belt! He started out at the age of 15 working as an apprentice under a Youth Training Scheme where he trained for 3 years. He began at Fifteen in March 2003 where he was Head Chef responsible for the re-design of the ground floor space which was converted into the ‘Trattoria’, our rustic Italian restaurant on the ground floor.

Once the Trattoria project was underway, Steve was asked by Jamie Oliver to be the Chef Mentor on his renowned project ‘School Dinners’. Steve’s role was to implement and oversee the healthy Option Plan into 40 schools within the Greenwich Borough. Once complete, Steve moved into the role of Head Chef for Fifteen Events. He plays a major role in the business and his three year involvement with Fifteen has meant he represents all that we’d like to convey to our customers.

Prior to Fifteen – Steve worked for restaurants such as Le Meridian, The Dorchester, Hilton Park Lane, Steven Bull, The Pharmacy (Junior Sous Chef), Morans Sydney (Head Chef) and The Great Eastern Dining Room (Head Chef).

His style of food is best described as Italian modern classics. He loves sourcing and researching food culture, particularly the history hence he manages to find the best premium ingredients for our customers.
