This image of Barnaby, a current Fifteen apprentice, personifies what we’re about: transforming the lives of young people! It was commissioned as part of the 2007 social audit (sponsored by Barclays), titled ‘Fifteen: life in the present tense’, which examines our impact on the lives of apprentices over the last five years. On sale at Fifteen London for £3.
In 2002, Jamie Oliver combined two ambitions: to open a top class restaurant and to give disadvantaged youngsters the chance to gain professional training that would set them up for an independent, inspired and productive life. Five years on, Fifteen is still achieving both, improving and expanding all the time.
This social enterprise has entertained hundreds of thousands of people who have loved our fantastic food; their custom and support has directly helped transform the lives of our apprentices.
We’ve grown so much, now running Fifteen restaurants (each with their own foundation and apprenticeship schemes) in Amsterdam, Cornwall and Melbourne. And there’s so much more we can do.
In order to support our unique apprenticeship scheme and to fund the development of future opportunities that will benefit our young people, the Fifteen Foundation needs to raise over £500,000 every year.
Have a wander round the site to find out about our work, the charitable foundation which holds it all together and how you can be part of the Fifteen experience, whether it’s popping in for coffee, lapping up our tasting menu or making a
charitable donation.
Hope to see you soon!
